PLAN FOCUS AREA
The Hilltop Community Plan will focus on the area outlined in red on the map below. This section of the neighborhood requires a higher level of intervention than some adjacent sections. The focus area is necessary for the planning effort to to be manageable and sustainable.

emotional healthcare, including addiction, rehabilitation services, and primary care.

All children will be prepared for diverse living wage jobs by integrating
workforce development with academic and vocational experience.

EMPLOYMENT & INCOME

Opportunities and assistance for living wage employment will be accessible, achievable, retainable, and include the ability for advancement.

The Hilltop will support and sustain a variety of businesses to create a foundation of amenities and economic activity for residents and visitors.

The Hilltop will be a safe, secure, and inviting community for residents.

Hilltop infrastructure will embrace a multi-modal transportation network that is responsive to the needs of community today and in the future.

The Hilltop should be attractive to a variety of businesses that will help create a diverse ecosystem of amenities and economic activity for the neighborhood.

Neighbors should feel safe in their homes and exploring the neighborhood, both from interpersonal violence and environmental hazards.

Hilltop Pre-K Center Survey

The City of Columbus is beginning to develop a new early learning facility in the Hilltop because having only classroom instruction in our schools doesn’t meet the needs of our children. Our new facility should provide programs and services necessary need to maximize their success.
