COTA Promotional Bus Pass Program

COTA’s Promotional Bus Pass Program is designed to uplift and support nonprofits with limited or no funding by providing access to complimentary one-day bus passes each year.

These passes help ensure that the individuals and families you serve can access essential transportation without added financial strain. At this time, the program offers one-day unlimited ride passes only. Eligible nonprofits may request up to 200 one-day unlimited ride bus passes per calendar year at no cost.


After passes are issued, and the organization has reached its annual limit, additional request will not be fulfilled until the next calendar year begins on January 1. Organizations are welcome to purchase additional passes or participate in other COTA pass programs, regardless of their involvement in this program. To help ensure equitable access, priority is given to organizations that demonstrate financial need or serve communities facing transportation barriers.


Once a request is submitted and approved, processing typically takes approximately five business days. The designated contact will be notified when passes are ready for pickup at COTA's Customer Experience Center (CEC), located at 33 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215. The CEC is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
