Lead Safe Columbus is a grant funded program through the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control. The mission of Lead Safe Columbus is to create lead-safe and healthy affordable housing and prevent the lead poisoning of children and adults in Columbus neighborhoods.
Eligible properties may receive repairs at an average cost of:
$22,000 per property to address lead-based paint hazards in the home
$4,200 per property to address healthy homes repairs (if applicable)
$1,600 per property to address radon testing & mitigation system installation (if applicable)
